PRESENT: CARL FUEHRING, PETE WOOD, HELEN LEFLER, ANITA
FOSTER, STEVE MARCINIAK, LEO TERRYN
ABSENT: AVERY WILSON
MINUTES OF THE MARCH 27,2001 MEETING WERE APPROVED AS WRITTEN
ON A MOTION BY STEVE AND SUPPORTED BY CARL, ALL AYE. MOTION
PASSED.
PUBLIC HEARING REGUARDING THE PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE CHANGES. JAKE EXPLAINED THAT "RECREATIONAL VEHICLE USE"
SHOULD BE ADDED AS SECTION 4.33 TO THE GENERAL PROVISIONS.
DEB BORST ASKED IF SOMEONE HAS 4 UNITS AND THEN THEY PITCH A TENT, IS THAT 5 UNITS?
JAKE SAID YES, AND THEN THEY ARE A CAMPGROUND.
SUSAN SMITH ASKED WHAT WOULD THE PROCESS BE FOR VIOLATORS.
JAKE SAID THE HEALTH DEPT. WOULD BE NOTIFIED AND THEN A LETTER OF VIOLATION WOULD BE SENT, IF THERE WAS NO RESPONSE, THEN IT
WOULD GO TO COURT.
MARK BORST ASKED IF JAKE WAS VISUALLY ABLE TO CHECK THINGS ON WEEKENDS.
JAKE RESPONDED THAT HE IS AVAILABLE AND ABLE TO DO THAT.
MARK BORST ASKED IF THEY HAD TO BE HOOKED UP TO SEWER AND WATER? DO THE SET BACK RULES APPLY AND CAN THEY BUILD A GARAGE?
JAKE INFORMED HIM THAT THEY DO HAVE TO ABIDE BY THE SET BACKS AND ARE NOT ABLE TO BUILD A GARAGE.
KIETH ADAMS ASKED IF JAKE WAS ABLE TO ENFORCE SETBACKS. YES
FRANK HILBORN FEELS THAT RESIDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO IMPROVE WITH NEWER MODELED RV'S.
JAKE SAID THAT COULD BE DONE BUT IF YOU DON'T REGISTER BY 6-30-01
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PROVE THAT YOU ARE GRANDFATHERED.

ROB LIAVIVECZ FEELS THE BOARD SHOULD LOOK INTO RENTALS.
FRANK HILBORN FELLS THAT RV'S SHOULD NEVER BE USED AS A LEGAL RESIDENCE.
HELEN ASKED IF LOTS 8&10 OF UPPER SILVER LAKE HAVE STREET ADDRESSES? AND COMMENTED THAT THE DEFINITION OF AN RV DOES NOT STATE SIZE, REGISTRATION SAYS LESS THAN 12' WIDE, SHE FEELS THAT SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE DEFINITION.
KIETH ADAMS ASKED IF THE PRESENT RV'S ARE GRANDFATHERED CAN THE ZO BOARD MAKE THEM HOOK UP TO WATER AND SEWER?
HELEN RESPONDED NO, THAT 'S UP TO THE HEALTH DEPT.

LEO ASKED IF RENTAL UNITS ARE COMMERCIAL, JAKE SAID NO.
CARL ASKED IF THIS PROPOSAL WAS WRITTEN BY AN ATTORNEY? JAKE SAID NO, BY HELEN AND HIMSELF WITH SOME OF THE ATTORNEYS GUIDANCE.
CARL MOTIONED TO RECCOMMEND THE PROPOSAL TO THE TOWNSHIP BOARD FOR APPROVAL WITH THE ADDITION OF LAKE HOLIDAY GARDENS AND THAT THE UNITS HAVE TO BE LESS THAN 12' WIDE. STEVE SUPPORTED THE MOTION, ALL AYE, MOTION PASSED.
LEO MOTIONED TO ACCEPT THE REGISTRATION FORM, CARL SUPPORTED
THE MOTION, ALL AYE MOTION PASSED.
STU SPEARS SITE PLAN FOR AN ADDITION TO THE CHASIS SHOP.
JAKE EXPLAINED THAT HE IS ZONED RESORT/COMMERCIAL AND NEEDS A
SITE PLAN APPROVAL FOR HIS PERMIT.
STU EXPLAINED THAT HE WOULD LIKE TO BUILD A 24'X40' ADDITION TO THE CURRENT BUILDING WITH A SECOND PHASE LATER ON TO ALLOW FOR ANOTHER 40'X80' ADDITION.
CARL ASKED TO HAVE THE CATCH BASINS EXPLAINED, WHICH STU DID.
CARL MOTIONED TO APPROVE THE SITE PLAN, STEVE SUPPORTED THE MOTION, ALL AYE. MOTION PASSED
MEETING ADJOURNED AT 8:25 PM ON A MOTION BY HELEN AND SUPPORTED BY STEVE.
